Microsoft IT Academy offers online courses in technology skills from basic digital literacy to Microsoft Office proficiency to Windows server management. Students can use these courses to acquire important job skills or prepare for industry-recognized certifications. Through a partnership with Microsoft, the Washington State Library has made these training courses available to Washington residents through their community college, public, or tribal library.
As an SFCC student, you've already been assigned an e-mail address from Microsoft's Office 365 cloud service (username@bigfoot.spokane.edu) and a password (the same one you use on campus computers) that you can use to register with Microsoft IT Academy. Alternatively, a Live, Hotmail, Outlook, or Xbox account will also work. If you're accessing this from off campus, you will be asked to sign in first with your BIGFOOT username and password to verify that you're a student before being redirected to the registration site.

Registration for Microsoft IT Academy is open to any Washington resident, not just SFCC students. If you already have a library card for Spokane Public Library or Spokane County Library, you can register through their respective websites. Alternatively, you can visit us at the Spokane Falls Community College library during our open hours.
