You probably won't get caught using other peoples photos or pictures found on the web in your presentation. It is however possible to choose pictures where the creator has given permission for the picture to be used. You may then publish your presentation on http://slideshare.net or other web bases services and not be concerned that you will get a notification that your work is violating someones copyright.

Flickr Creative Commons
Only part of Flickr pictures fall in the creative commons category. The key goals of The Commons on Flickr are to firstly show you hidden treasures in the world's public photography archives, and secondly to show how your input and knowledge can help make these collections even richer" by adding tags.
