Find books and media by searching on the SFCC Library Catalog. Then click on the Advanced Search tab.
Type keywords or phrases in the Search: box. Select Subject from the Search within menu. For a broader search select Keyword from the Search within menu. Avoid using natural language or full sentences when searching. You'll want to play around with terms here. If your search result is small, try using broader terms.
If the items is Available, you may find it in the library stacks (shelves). If you are off campus, you may click on Request Item. The item will be held for you for 3 business days and can be picked up at the Library Circulation/Checkout desk.
Books not available at the SFCC Library may be obtained from other libraries. Use WorldCat to locate books in the Spokane area and beyond.
Request books from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Plan ahead, ILL requests may take up to 1-2 weeks for delivery.
Use the online ILL Request Form or submit an ILL request in person at the SFCC Library Reference Desk. Here's how: Print off the article citation (which includes author(s) and title of the article; title or title abbreviation of the journal; date of the journal; and page numbers of the article.
Find eBooks by going to the Library Website, clicking on Articles and Reference Databases and then clicking on EbscoHOST eBook Collection. You will have to login with your Bigfoot username (example: MichaelS1234) and your password to view the eBooks.
Google Books is a source for eBooks that you can preview or read for free.
