SFCC Article Databases (Proquest & Ebsco) allow you to set up alerts or rss feeds to receive new magazines in your e-mail or update a topic search. You can also read the current paper issues of news magazines at the library. Below are links to popular current news and politics websites.
- BBC NewsA great source for world news. Reading the headlines daily will help you keep-up with what's going on in Europe, Asia and Africa.
- The EconomistVery comprehensive weekly world news. Paper available in the library.
- New York TimesConsidered one of the most authoritative U.S. sources. Using Proquest allows unlimited access and also allows you to set-up alerts for articles on specific topics or by specific journalists.
- NewsweekProvides coverage of the main stories weekly. Also available in paper at the library
- Real Clear PoliticsLinks to news articles on two sides of most issues. You can read it on your cell phone. Also includes Real Clear World, Real Clear Sports and Real Clear Markets.
- Slate MagazineSlate is a daily magazine of analysis and commentary on politics, news, business, technology, and culture. Gabfest a weekly podcast that discusses political issues is a summary of the weeks political activities.
- Wall Street JournalBusiness emphasis. Paper copies are available daily in the library. Considered an authoritative source in the area of business.
